Hold of Bloom

A glass orb pendant sealed with real petals in UV resin, framed by a 3D-printed ring. The piece emerged from a simple curiosity: can a small object hold a feeling, a season, or a memory? The petals are sealed inside creating a tiny archive of a specific place and time. The 3D-printed black ring frames the orb like a window, symbolizing how human-made tools shape how we interact with the natural world. Nature is held but not owned.

Digital Instruments
Interactive Book
Interactive Children's Book

A book holder with light, motion, and responsive feedback that bridges passive screen engagement with interactive storytelling. Built from cardboard, wiring, and code, it transforms a book into a multisensory experience. Through light, motion, and responsive feedback, the work supports calm, autonomy, and emotional awareness — reminding us that literacy becomes most powerful when it responds back.

Capybara
My Neighbor Capybara

An interactive maker-centered educational tool designed for preschoolers (ages 2-6) that combines physical education and socio-emotional skills. Inspired by the capybara, it functions like a motion-sensing Tamagotchi to promote spatial awareness and empathy. The capybara runs fast, becomes vocal when sensing danger, and embraces as a herbivore — traits that shaped the interactive design to bridge connection between adults and children, combating easy reliance on electronic gadgets.

Medicine box
Smart Medicine Dispenser

An automatic medication reminder and dispenser built using Arduino, 3D printing, and laser cutting. The device uses a stepper motor, LCD display, Real Time Clock module, buzzer, and breadboard. Unlike a phone alarm that can be dismissed and forgotten, this physical device requires the user to respond and attend — ensuring medication is taken at the correct intervals. It also assists caregivers in managing dosing schedules.

Spotify Miniature Landscape

A physical miniature cityscape turning 2025 Spotify listening history into a landscape based on the neighbourhood where the maker grew up. Each building represents a different album, with height scaled to listening time at 1:118 (1 cm = 118 minutes). One district stands out for a single song listened to for over 15 hours. Another represents an album the maker's mother loved — connecting personal memory, place, and listening data into something tangible.

Monopoly game on personal photography data
Photography Monopoly

A data sculpture reimagining Monopoly to represent personal photography data — 11 types of photography engaged in from September 2024 to February 2026. Each type is categorized under 3 areas (street, personal, and work) with three different colours. All conventional game components have been remade to be photography-themed, from the board and tokens to dice and cards.

Norway
Norway EV Adoption Map

3D printed EV models and oil tanks on a laser-cut map of Norway, telling the story of a successful green energy transition. Norway leads EV adoption globally while remaining the biggest oil and gas producer in Europe. Revenue from oil and gas has been placed in the Government Pension Fund Global to finance the green transition. This project asks: what can Canada learn from Norway's pragmatic and successful green energy strategy?

HIVE Makers Summer Camp

This summer, ten students in grades 5 through 11 spent a week at the OISE HIVE designing, building, and coding their way through a hands-on makerspace experience. After exploring 3D printing, laser cutting, electronics, and art-making, the group came together for an ambitious final project: a fully interactive Smart House, complete with a working door lock, motion-activated lighting, a resin-cast swimming pool, and furniture that was both hand-built and 3D printed, all designed and created entirely by the students themselves. Along the way, they learned to problem-solve, collaborate across teams, and embrace the trial-and-error spirit that lies at the heart of making.
