The Roland Modela MDX-50 is a precision benchtop CNC mill. Unlike 3D printing (additive), milling is a subtractive process — a high-speed rotating cutter removes material from a workpiece. Workpieces must be properly secured and PPE must be worn at all times during operation.

Safety Rules
- Always secure the workpiece firmly before starting
- Wear safety glasses and hearing protection during operation
- Never reach into the cutting area while the spindle is moving
- Check tool bit for wear or damage before each use
- Clean chips and debris after every session
